Description
The manifold has been developed to maximise performance from an Escort rally or race car. In tests, the SRD stainless steel manifold increased the mid range torque by over 12lb ft over the popular 3 peice group two type 4-2-1 manifold, with no loss in peak torque or horse power. Combined with the new SRD inlet manifold and high torque rally cam, the 2 litre test engine produced a corrected 217 BHP on twin 50 webers, and 197 BHP on Split 48 Road Rally Carbs. On a 2.24 Litre Circuit engine producing 230 BHP, the manifold boosted torque at 4500 RPM from 164lb’s to 181lb’s with no loss in peak power when exchanged for the original race manifold.
