Historic Group 2 Fiesta Build
A good low mileage mk1 Fiesta was found for the basis of this build. The car was stripped and the body shell sent away for dipping . Once back at the workshop any repairs were carried out and the seam welding and strenghtening plates added. additional skid plates are welded to the underside and seat mounting rails fitted to the inside.New larger inner tubs are fabricated and fitted. Rollcage is trial fitted with all the holes marked. Cage is removed and strengthening plates added to floor and tubs. Wide arches are fabricated out of aluminium, fitted to the shell, then moulds are taken to replicate these in fibreglass. The shell is then sent back for redipping and primer coat.



















Fuel tank platform is fabricated and fitted into the boot / spare wheel area, ready to except the purposely fabricated alloy tank. The fuel pump and filter are housed in there own compartment and the filler neck is fitted to the rear pillar. A firewall is fabricated over the tank and fuel pump to keep them isolated from the cabin area.
